For Aristotle both words and propositions signify. However, the question is what the significate is and under what conditions a specific word or proposition can have a single Signification. This issue leads to a discussion of homonymy and "to be spoken of in many ways." Of the 20th-century Aristotelian scholars, Irwin argues that the significate is essence, while Shields contends that the significate is meaning, which has multiple degrees ranging from shallow meaning (the lexical) to deep meaning (the essence). This paper argues that the main factor in the Signification of words and propositions is that the significate must have real unity. The real unity of the signified of words, determined based on the doctrine of Categories, can occur in two forms: "in virtue of one," such as human, and "with reference to one," such as being. On the other hand, the true unity of the significate of propositions relates to the real unity of the conditions under which a proposition can be true. Therefore, in Aristotle's discussion of Signification, we are seeking real unity, and ordinary linguistic meaning is not his ultimate goal. The significance of this discussion lies in this fact that the Signification of words is one of Aristotle's important tools in philosophical discourse.

Color displays the aesthetic aspects of a work of art, considered as one of its vital elements in artistic structure having a direct implications of the poet’s artistic vision, and in most cases, refers to the poet’s feelings, being a source of vitality and activity, comfort and reliability, symbolic of the different feelings of sadness and joy.Due to its artistic, psychological, social, and symbolic implications, colors are deemed as the most beautiful phenomena of nature, art and poetry as well as a constituent elements of the poetic image. color should be studied in the context of the poem since the poetic texture determines their effectiveness.This paper is based on descriptive, and statistical analysis, the study of color and its implications in the poetry of Iraqi poet Yahia Alsamawy. The purpose of the census is to paint and show off their poetry. Alsamawy is amongst the greatest poets who has abundantly investigated the symbolic function of colors in his writings. The results of this study has shown that most frequently applied colors in his poems are respectively: green, white, black, red, yellow, and blue.

Designers are always looking for a way to create something which would be capable of making a pleasant interaction with viewers in order to deliver their visual and conceptual messages. One of the elements that has the visual and emotional meanings together is “Significant Form”, which contains reflections of those two in one. If we accept this description for significant form, we can use it cautiously with proportion and ratio to prepare aesthetic sense with satisfaction. Uniting visual and significant concepts can be helpful for viewers to discover new things in the design and also the sense of designer throughout creating which could show the highest point effects of art and design by the artist.

The study of the relationship between speech and meaning has a serious impacton the finding of the manifestation and analysis of the coining of the word. One ofthe controversial issues in this regard is that verbal Signification is a factor of thespeaker’s will. For instance, if the speakers utters a word in sleep, does it connoteto its meaning, or, just by hearing a word, although there is no will to make thelistener understand its meaning, Signification is formed? Avicenna (Abu Ali Sina)argues that Signification is a factor of the will that has been criticized by scholars.There are two claims to prove his argument. First, coining for a speech that isnot meant by the speaker is invalid. Hence the coiner has coined the word onlyfor the meaning of what he intends. Second, will is effective in the Significationof the truth. Hence, without will, Signification does not hold true. However, boththe arguments have been questioned by some scholars. The present study is anattempt to explain and critically study the main controversy with emphasis onthe nature of Signification and its commitment to knowledge based on ImamKhomeini’s viewpoint about Signification. The findings of the study show thatAvicenna’s argument is valid.

In this article, we discuss Abd al-Jabbar's view on miracles considering his special methodology. Like other Muslim theologians, Abd al-Jabbar presents an argument based on the divine wisdom in order to demonstrate that the occurrence of miracles is a reasonable evident of the prophet's authenticity. However, he differs from other theologians in proposing a new way called "Muwadi' a" in which miracles show the prophet's authenticity through a kind of convention.Moreover, Abd al-Jabbar argues that the occurrence of miracles can also serve as an argument for both the existence of God and the plausibility of the prophetical doctrines.
